Psychology Services in the East End of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador

In-person services in St. John’s East End & secure online services across the Atlantic provinces via Zoom

  • I offer integrative psychotherapy services for individual adult clients aged 19 years and over. My approach to treatment is trauma-informed, collaborative and affirming.

My focus is helping clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves to help them make changes in their lives and break long-standing patterns that have caused difficulties and symptoms.

I mainly draw from a psychodynamic approach called Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). This form of therapy is an evidence-informed, focused psychological treatment that allows people to make meaningful and lasting changes in interpersonal and emotional patterns that cause unwanted symptoms.

Research has found ISTDP to be effective for treating a wide range of psychological conditions, including mood, anxiety and unexplained medical symptoms. For more information about research supporting ISTDP, please visit the website for the ISTDP Institute here.

  • I offer individual supervision to psychologists working at different levels:
-Provisionally registered psychologists pursuing full registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Psychology Board (NLPB).

-Fully-registered psychologists seeking additional supervision to enhance their practice.

  • I offer teaching, training, and ongoing consultation to clinicians and organizations seeking to benefit from psychology expertise to improve client or team outcomes.

The goal of consultation is to collaboratively enhance a clinician, team or organization’s knowledge, skills and attitudes.
